I bought a Moto X recently and I was trying a way to figure out how to make it accessible in the Eclipse IDE for debugging my apps. Took some time to find a solution but here it is for you if you are looking for something similar.
Motorola offers drivers for devices to enable for your device to be debugged. Also once you installed those, the logcat tracks all of the app processing happening on your device as well.
Motorola provides a device manager that installs the proper drivers for you. My moto x showed up just fine after the install.
